Job Role : Salon Manager
The ultimate hairdressing qualification, the Diploma of Salon Management gives you the skills and knowledge to be able to manage a salon or to own and operate your own salon. This is a Nationally Recognised Qualification. This qualification will give you an advantage as you will be able to implement marketing activities and manage workplace health and safety requirements.
You will also acquire business planning skills. This course is essential for anyone who wishes to manage or own a business. The Diploma of Salon Management is also a Higher Education entry-level equivalency. To achieve a Diploma of Salon Management, all units must be completed. There are 10 units in total, including 6 Core units and 4 Elective units.
Vocational Outcomes
Graduates will have the skills and knowledge to work as a Salon Manager, providing leadership to small teams and managing quality customer service and staff performance. Graduates will be able to demonstrate management skills in the salon and be responsible for the output of themselves and staff. Graduates will have a sense of self-direction and are supportive to the business and to their peers.
