This course can be studied at either AH&B College ( Bondi Junction) or The Hair Academy Australia (Robina), Students need an IELTS of 6.0 or above to study this course. The Certificate III in Hairdressing is an exciting and very hands-on course. This is a nationally-recognised course throughout Australia. This is the course you want to study if you wish to be a qualified hairdresser and gain employment in the hairdressing industry working as a competent hairdressing professional.
Graduates will have good practical skills and knowledge of the fundamentals of hairdressing, treating hair and scalp conditions, basics of hair design, applying chemical services to hair and cutting hair. Graduates will also have good client communication and management skills; have the ability to ensure a safe working environment; and be able to work effectively in a salon. To achieve a Certificate III in Hairdressing, all units must be completed. There are 28 units in total, including 21 Core units and 7 Elective units.
Description of the Qualification:
This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as hairdressers working as part of a team in a hairdressing environment. These individuals are competent in communicating in the workplace, consulting with clients, selling products and services, and designing and applying a broad range of technical hairdressing services on clients.
Vocational Outcomes:
Certificate III is the Standard Trade Qualification for the Hairdressing Industry. Graduates should possess a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. They should be able to work as a hairdresser in a salon team. Successful graduates will have obtained a sound foundation based in employability and sustainability skills which are integral to the modern hairdresser.
Course Duration: 37 Weeks
(37 weeks plus 15 weeks break)
